Created Unequal: The Great Divine Swindle

Blinded by promises of a life everlasting
Swindled by promises of resurrection
A perpetual paradise
So why take care of this life
When divinely promised another one?
Where the hell do these defaults come from?

Like a child promised candy for running errands
Like a grown man who believes in a promotion
his abject  behaviour warrants
But all these divine promises are just as false
as they are untrue
Brittle and cheap as old petrified glue

In truth we've pillaged our greatest gift
One which promises of the divine undermine
The reality is that we destroy and disgrace
our greatest gift
We are only the caretakers
Of the world we pillaged

Cataclysm

Dear life
Let me in
I want to let go
But I cling
On to a bastard of a life
That won’t let me go

Dear Life
I urge you
To make me feel fulfilled
What falls apart
Can surely be rebuild

Dear life
I remember a child
Laden with expectation
All smiles
Hoping the cracks will fill themselves

Dear life
Why should
I scrub the deck?
That will be
spitted on again
and smudged with dreck?

ROBE

I see seduction and her rotten areola
Movements that make the devil raise his brows
We are running around deranged in our concrete zoo
Ruled by incompetence and stupidity
Moving headlong into an inevitable collision

Laden with anger, angst and anguish
Dethroned and watching democracy
becoming a layer of mould and fungus
On an old an decayed wallpapered wall

“Some things are better left unsaid”
The scared double-tongued fool said
I say: Let's rid ourselves of sardonic
Swallow pale faced mutants neatly packed in pristine suits
Too much repression so the tree bears fruit no more

The stiffened man said:
“Will we end up fighting like hyenas
for the last bit of flesh left on the bone?
Or will we once again take a seat
On the shiny shiny throne?”
